1. Who we are

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the products and services provided by Rift Space (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa (trading as "Rift Spaces"). References to "we", "us", or "our" mean Rift Space (Pty) Ltd. By using our services you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services

Rift Spaces provides coworking memberships, meeting-room bookings, day passes, event hosting and café services at our physical locations, together with related online tools for booking, billing and community access.

You must be at least 18 years old (or have authority to bind your organisation) to purchase a membership. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

The Rift Spaces brand, software, content, documentation and site design are owned by Rift Space (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use our services within your active plan. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer or circumvent technical limits of the service.

6. Service levels

We work to keep our physical and online services available, but we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or continuously accessible. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose).

7. Payment, subscriptions & billing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

8. Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your member portal or via paddle.net. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated / serious violations of our house rules. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the services is capped at the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or incidental damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under South African law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Rift Space (Pty) Ltd against claims arising from your unlawful use of the services, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The courts of South Africa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, without prejudice to any consumer rights you may have under mandatory local law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or on our site. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
